Who this covers

This applies to residents of Lahore Group of Hostels, to people who enquire about a room, and to the staff who use our management portal.

What we hold about residents

Name, WhatsApp number, CNIC, emergency contact, permanent address, the room and dates of the stay, and the record of rent and payments. Students may also give an institute name. We hold this because a hostel cannot let a bed, bill for it, or reach somebody's family in an emergency without it.

We do not hold bank card details. Payments are made in cash or directly to our bank or mobile wallet accounts, and we record only the amount and date.

What we hold about staff

Staff sign in with Google. We receive the email address, name and profile photo from that account, and store the email address, the role granted, and which hostels it covers. We never see or store a Google password.

Receipts

A payment receipt is published at a private link containing a long random code. Anyone holding that link can view that one receipt — it is meant to be forwarded to the resident who paid. Treat it as you would the paper receipt. Receipt pages are not indexed by search engines.

Who else sees it

Nobody outside the hostel. Data is stored with Google Firebase and the site is served by Cloudflare, both acting only as our infrastructure providers. We do not sell information, and we run no advertising or analytics trackers on this site.

How long we keep it

Resident and payment records are kept while you stay and afterwards as our accounting record. Ask us and we will tell you exactly what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or remove what we are not required to keep.
